I have over fifteen years of experience working with children, adolescents, families, and young adults struggling with many different obstacles. My work has focused on a variety of issues, including depression, anxiety, post traumatic stress disorder, life transitions, family conflicts, and adoption and foster care issues. I am passionate about working with youth, assisting them in developing independence and connecting to their families. I spent many years working within the child welfare system, and have more recently worked within the New York City school system, providing social/emotional support and mental health services.
I earned my Master’s degree in Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University. I have completed three Post-Masters Certificate Programs through New York University in Advanced Clinical Practice, Clinical Approaches to the Adolescents and Advanced Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
